The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has begun the process of fulfilling its election promises. During the election campaign, the party announced that it would provide free electricity to the people. Now the AAP government will implement this promise from July. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announces From July 1 to onwards, people will not have to pay up to 300 units for electricity. Then the rest of the promises made by the AAP will be fulfilled in stages. “Our goal is to make Punjab the No. 1 state,” the party said.
In addition to free electricity, the Punjab government last month introduced a system to deliver food to households. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal told the people of Punjab that such a provision would be implemented during the elections. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had announced that it would create 25,000 jobs in the state.
“Similarly, about 35,000 contract workers working in various government departments will get permanent employment,” he said. The AAP government has initiated a process to provide permanent employment to Group C and Group D contract workers. The party has said that the ruling AAP government in Punjab will work as promised.
