But with the help of IOC, Tokyo city selected for Olympic by the Japanese Olympic Committee on July 16, 2011 for the Olympic 2020 Games. In Buenos Aires at the 125th IOC session on September 7, 2013, Tokyo won their bid to host the games. Now this game is continuing from its opening day on 23 July 2021. There are 11,090 athletes are participating in this sports festival from 205 nations. 339 in 33 sports with 50 disciplines events are there. It is started from 23 July 2021 and will be closed on 8 August 2021.
