World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year. The purpose of the day is to spread awareness about the threat to the environment due to rising pollution levels and climate change. Giving a global platform for inspiring positive change in the environment, the 1st World Environment Day was observed in 1974. This day people planting trees, cleaning up local beaches, organizing meetings, joining online protests to create awareness for protect environment & it’s important for organism.

Environment refers to the things around the organism, which have a direct influence on the activities of the organism. The organisms depend upon their environment, while the environment provides them bade or medium for various activities of their life. The relationship in organisms and the environment is of reciprocal in nature. There are mainly 3 types of environment:

  1. The Physical/Abiotic/Non-living Environment: Physical environment cop rises non-living elements like land, water, atmosphere, conditions which lead to the formation of soil. It is also includes the climatic factors such as sunbeams, rainwater, perception, moisture pressure and wind speed.
  2. Biotic/Biological Environment: Biological Environment is responsible for the living beings. The biological environment is the environment, which involves the living part of the Earth.
  3. Social or cultural Environment: The social or cultural environment means the environment, which is created by the man through his various social and cultural activities and thinking. This type of environment involves the culture and life style of the human beings. The historical, cultural, political, moral, economic aspects of human life constitute to the social or cultural environment.

Pollution: The addition of constituents to water, air or land, which adversely alter the natural quality of our environment, is called Pollution. Pollution may also be defined as an undesirable variation in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of our water, air and land that may or will harmfully affect human life or that of desirable species, our industrial processes, living conditions and cultural assets or that may waste or deteriorate our raw material resources. So that many problems are arises in the organism. People, animals, birds are suffer a lot. It also affect the natural ecosystem.
