effects & causes of climate change

Climate change means the change in the pattern of weather globally. It means increase of global temperature, wind patterns, seas are raising, ocean acidification is increasing, precipitation, generally seasons are uncertain etc. There are mainly two factors which affects weather- natural and manmade. Variations in the sun’s energy reaching earth, power plants, farming, deforestation, Fertilizers, Transportation, Oil and natural gas drilling, permafrost are the main causes for climate change.

Human being increases use of fossil fuels like oil, coal, gas to generate electricity, run vehicles and power manufacturing for industry. This happens because the oil and coal burning process combines carbon with oxygen in the air to make CO2. Destroy forest to build buildings, factories, industries etc. Due to these reason climate change day by day. And now it is a big problem for earth.

Effects

Increased temperatures and changing precipitation patterns.

Rising sea levels due to thermal expansion and melting of glaciers and ice sheets.

Warming of the ocean surface, so that increased temperature stratification.

Decline in organic matter

Stalinization

Soil biodiversity loss

Decrease water level

Landslides, desertification

Natural calamities like Flooding, earthquake, cyclone, droughts etc.

These are the major effects which occur due to climate change. According to nature report, the earth was warmed by 1.2 degrees Celsius from January to October in 2020, than the pre industrial average measured between 1850 and 1900.

We should stop these changes in climate. Because heat-stress reduces the cultivation capacity of an agricultural field, causes poor yields, crop failures. Pollution creates in air causes various diseases arise in the body of living beings. It is important that we understand how the climate is changing, so that we can prepare for the future.
